First time at this location, here for our anniversary dinner on a Saturday evening. In the past we've been to the SF location and are familiar with the food. Now we have one close by and have been wanting to go check it out. We had reservations for 7pm. We were seated right away and they also wished us a "happy anniversary". Started with drinks, and once they brought those to the table we ordered some starters. My husband had a cocktail and I ordered a jasmine tea that looks like a flower. We ordered Papaya salad and vegetable spring roll to share as our starters. I really love papaya salad and this doesn't disappoint! Fresh and crisp with a light dressing, one of our favorites. The vegetable spring roll was big!! Very filling and came with a peanut dipping sauce. Delicious (but I will say when we got the other food we ordered, maybe we could have skipped the roll as I was pretty full. After our starters were done, they came and took our main order. We decided on the glass noodle w/crab and skirt steak. I've had the noodles with crab in the past, another favorite!!!! The skirt steak was marinated and so tender and tasty, and there was quite a bit-perfect to share. We did decide to share a dessert since it was our anniversary, but I was pretty full. We shared the Chocolate pot de crème with marshmallow fluff and graham cracker crumble. Wow-mmmmm Lovely dinner for a special evening, never rushed. Casual vibe in the restaurant with the big glass windows perfect for people watching out in the open courtyard of the mall. A very nice change of pace for us without having to drive into the city.

I recently visited this modern Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. Ordered daikon rice cakes, crispy vegetarian imperial rolls, pho chay vegan noodle soup, 5 spice chicken vermicelli, freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice. Food was fresh and delicious. The portions are good for one person. I will not recommend the freshly squeezed juices. The price point is slightly on higher end. Overall this place is good for one time visit.

A nice fusion restaurant in the mall. We went for lunch and the server was friendly and explained their daily specials and recommendation to us. We ordered crispy imperial rolls, shrimp vermicelli, and their daily specials of uni and caviar on custard egg and lobster noodles. The egg was a delicious small appetizer and the uni were fresh. The lobster noodles was really tasty and noodles was chewy and savory. The imperial rolls was filled with a variety of flavors and eaten with the noodles and lettuce. The shrimp vermicelli also include a few imperial rolls and has a nice flavor. Overall, the food were great but I think the price is on the high end for the small portion.

My favorite dishes of the night that I don't even know how I finished. Gau Choy Gow (almost ordered 2 but wanted to eat other things) Crispy Imperial Rolls Chinese Cauliflower (w/ Chinese sausage) Pineapple Spritzer Cellophane Crab Noods Clay pot Chicken w/ side jasmine rice Basque Cheesecake with a caramely sauce, pomegranate seeds (trust me; it pairs well together) The only thing I didn't like was pork chop. They cook it medium. A bit rubbery. Next time I'll have them cook it through Other than that. I had a great night. Always love the ambiance, decor, service, and the whole modern vibe here.

This modern Vietnamese restaurant offers an interesting twist on classic flavors--not exactly authentic, but creative. It's on the pricier side, but the quality and unique style mostly make up for it. Service was good overall, though the staff could have been a bit friendlier. For drinks, we tried the mixed berry mix, mezcal smash, and Singapore Sling. All three cocktails were great, but the mezcal smash was definitely the standout with its smoky, refreshing twist. We ordered several appetizers: papaya salad, veggie imperial rolls, hue dumplings, banh nam, and Chinese cauliflower. Everything was delicious, but the papaya salad and imperial rolls were the highlights--super refreshing and packed with flavor. For entrées, we had the yuba noodles, lemongrass tofu, and caramelized shrimp. The tofu was decent, the noodles had a nice texture and flavor, and the shrimp had an unexpected French onion soup-like taste. Overall, a good experience for a modern take on Vietnamese cuisine!

I've been to the SF location many years ago when this was the only hip Vietnamese cuisine back in the early 2000s. It was where you'd take your dates. It's where you'd dress to impress. Either the times have changed or I'm just decades older. Maybe a little bit of both. I do remember it being a little upscale, but I was stunned when I saw the $58 shaking beef here. I am sure the filet mignon is of high quality, but north of $50 of anything is not in my wheelhouse. I shared my opinion with our server Brooklyn. She said she's new, but she is so professional and sweet. She's also a doppelgänger of a famous gymnast or an actress turned duchess. If you go there, you'll know what I mean. We had some good laughs with her. Thanks for being a good sport Brooklyn. Today I had a nice healthy lunch here. Everything was delicious. My buddy and I shared all dishes. The crispy imperial roll and fried soft shell crab are both served with lettuce and Vietnamese herbs. Both are deep fried with a lot of flavor on its own. That is why the lettuce and herbs are there to spread the flavors. To eat, you make a bed of lettuce, put some of the fried goodies over herbs, vermicelli and their sweet fish sauce. It's a burst of flavor and freshness. The final dish is the chicken vermicelli. I was a little disappointed that the portion is a bit small. My friend and I devoured every morsel and leaf of our appetizers and main dish. It's that good, but also not that much of the good stuff. We had to keep asking for more lettuce and they didn't seem to charge us so we appreciate that. I don't mind eating high end Vietnamese cuisine and paying a little premium in a nice venue. I would even pay a few dollars more for let's say their Imperial Rolls but give a little more rolls and side veggies. I felt bad asking for more lettuce, but I also understand it would be wasteful if people don't eat them.
